Northern Nevada Medical Center’s outpatient procedure clinic specializing, in pain management, is seeking an experienced RN with at least 2 years critical care experience (ICU, CCU, ER, or Telemetry). Must have moderate sedation experience. Procedures performed are epidural steroid injections, selective nerve root blocks, knee/hip ablations and radio frequency nerve ablations.
Communicates with procedural physician, supervising nurse, radiology technician and other staff nurses. Nurse is required to cross train into all areas of the clinic (pre-op, intra-op, and post procedure).
The pain clinic nurse is part of a 7-nurse team in a fast-paced procedural environment. They admit, monitor, sedate, recover and assess patients during diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
We operate two procedure rooms simultaneously. Staffing includes physician, radiology technician and two nurses in each room. Pre-op/post-op includes one pre-op nurse, one documentation nurse and one recovery nurse.
