We are currently looking for Lead Mental Health Assistant for 3rd shift to join our team of dedicated professionals.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: The development and implementation of clients’ behavioral programs by providing care and close supervision of facility clients and documenting behavior, by developing positive relationships with clients and co-workers and following facility policies and procedures, by implementing treatment plans and providing crisis intervention as necessary.

A typical day could involve directly assisting and educating Mental Health Assistants in the absence of the Shift Supervisor, and you will manage the assigned shift. This position, in the absence of the Shift Supervisor, will be responsible for assisting with scheduling staff for the shifts and completing all the end of shift reports (Shift Audits, Shift Assignments, Shift Vitals, HPRs, Point Sheets and Q-15s).

Lead Mental Health Assistant Job Requirements
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical demands while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distant, and peripheral vision, color and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee may occasionally be required to physically restrain clients, using authorized restraint procedures as a last resort for protection of client and staff. Ability to exercise self-control in potentially volatile situation such as being verbally or physically confronted in a threatening or aggressive manner; must be able to work and concentrate amidst distractions such as noise, conversation and foot traffic; ability to handle interruptions often and be able to move from one task to another; must be flexible and not easily frustrated in dealing with differences of opinions.
