The IPG Licensing & Conflicts Team has an immediate opening for an experienced attorney to join our small, but agile, team. As a member of the Conflicts team, you will enjoy a stimulating, fast-paced environment with smart and creative people, and can strategically impact the future of Microsoft’s.
The ideal candidate has a passion for technology and analyzing patent infringement assertions. Experience responding to such assertions and negotiating settlement agreements is desirable. The ideal candidate enjoys the science and art of picking apart patent assertions based on noninfringement, patent invalidity, licenses, and other arguments; assessing the value of asserted patents; and negotiating and drafting patent license agreements.
In addition to working on patent conflicts, you will work on Microsoft patent and IP policy initiatives and assist with the support of Microsoft patent and technology licensing programs and strategic patent licensing.
Juris Doctorate Degree or Equivalent International Degree
Active license to practice law in a US jurisdiction and capable of meeting admission requirements in relevant jurisdiction
