Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Command and Launch Team. This position will be located in Bellevue, NE and supports the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. What You’ll Get To Do: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. – Knowledge, Skills and Ability: General frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks. – Problem Solving: Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned – Discretion/Latitude: Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Works under general supervision. – Impact: Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Failure to achieve results or inadequate work product should be detected by supervisory oversight but may cause delay in program schedules and allocation of additional resources – Liaison: Primarily internal company contacts. Infrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters. Basic Qualifications: •Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Software) from an accredited university with 2 years of experience; 0 year with a Masters •Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering •Experience with SysML and/or DoDAF •Requirements development experience •A current active US Government DOD Secret with investigation within last 6 years
Preferred Qualifications: •Modeling experience using Cameo •Experience with Atlassian tool suite •Experience with requirements management using DOORS
