The successful candidate will have proven experience in all facets of manufacturing maintenance to support sustainable production as well as new model and/or new equipment introduction when required. They must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect part quality, production efficiency, work cell ergonomics, equipment maintenance, etc. The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent. Candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians to support maintenance across the shop that includes but is not limited to furnaces, die cast machine, robots, spray system, thermal control units etc. The candidate needs to have demonstrable skills in the following areas:
Program ladder logic and structured text on multiple PLC controller platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens and Beckhoff). Program and teach industrial 6-axis robots (Fanuc) Sequence complex, multi-station machinery for material pick-and-place, dispense, fastening, welding and conveyance applications.
Equipment Operation Availability / % OEE improvement
System development to track current shop conditions
Identify key aspects of equipment that will enable a faster cycle time and drive the team towards implementation
Understanding of short term vs long term actions for equipment and set the roadmap towards improvement
Systems used to prevent repeat occurrences
Preventative maintenance plan for equipment
Reference to past improvement initiatives / % improvements
Documentation of work instructions, specifications and best practices
Equipment spare parts management
Critical vs non critical parts determination
Audit methods to ensure no risk condition
Training & development
Training action plans
