WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As our Brand Creative Narrative Director you will create the voice that expresses the heart and soul of the Nike brand, leveraging athletes*, products and services to inspire our consumer! You will lead and champion creative concepts and storytelling across NA aligned to the strategic direction provided by NA Consumer Direct.
You have experience when it comes to directing other creatives and are familiar working in close partnership with writers, strategists and producers. Your able to both understand and participate in strategic conversations and can lead others through creative concepting, development and execution.
You have proven experience working at scale and can lead complex work streams independently – managing and prioritizing your time as needed. You’re outstanding at crafting the detail all the way to delivery and use this experience to teach others around you. Without fail you’re able to connect the dots between culture and ecommerce and find the common ground between a brand and its consumers.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
You will lead complex workstreams independently and direct others in order to develop well-crafted narrative that expresses the heart and soul of the Nike brand, using athletes, products and services to encourage our consumer! The work in NA will range from editorial work, look-book and business drivers across our channels. Innovative thinking, strategy and tactical member execution across our ecosystem (apps, email, .com etc) that drive a full end-to-end Creative Offense where appropriate. You will work from strategy through concept and finishing with premium executions at all levels across all channels, always thinking about the next click.
Juggling multiple projects at the same time, maintaining good communication and planning with clear focus on setting the team up for success. You’ll both lead your own workstreams whilst also empowering those around you to drive their own work independently.
You will need to communicate your concepts to various internal and external audiences. As a creative lead, you’ll be responsible to take on feedback from various partners and drive the development of work to ensure that all work is delivered on time.
Working closely with the creative leadership team, you’ll be responsible for shaping the future voice and storyline of the brand across every nike consumer touchpoint. Encouraging and leading innovative thinking, collaboration, and teamwork you’ll also provide ideas that influence and drive standard methodologies throughout our function.
You will lead and mentor others, encouraging and guiding their growth through considered and consistent feedback rewarding their achievements whilst also recognizing their opportunities to develop.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH
You will report into the Consumer Direct Creative Director, but day-to-day you’ll work with the writers alongside a team of Art Directors, Designers, and Producers, managing projects across multiple workstreams. Beyond the core team, you will also work a lot with external creatives – commissioning various work across multiple fields. You will collaborate with your counterparts across the NA City Studios, the Geo Consumer Construct/Brand Studio as well as global partners to ensure consistency across our work and help establish and develop our creative network, as well as aligning on the right stories at the right time against the right channels.
Within the broader Marketing organization you will work closely with the Consumer Direct Marketing to strategize and execute against the annual concept map, developing and delivering creative that answers the brief.
Aside from the day-to-day you’ll work alongside other creative leads to drive functional excellence making sure the team get regular opportunity to learn, encourage and share knowledge with each other.
